Psuedo-Dionysian
Tara Sasiadek
Plaster and Canvas
72” x 96”
Borrowing my title from a Mystic who wrote of the ultimately unknowable nature of the divine, and the God of wine and revelry from whom he derived his name, I made this work on instinct. The screen depicts a riot of the sensual and natural melding, and the ecstasy of intimacy between a group of people who cannot possibly know or even think of how the future will draw them apart- leaving those moments of effortless pleasure etched in stone in the untouchable past.

Currently available, this piece has been shown at the Albright Knox and MOCA Gallery in Washington, DC
